Human Resources Reflection
A representative from the Human Resources department told me about Freeman’s hiring process and all that they do to determine which of the applicants are the most qualified. She stated that she screens nearly 1,000 applications a month. At which point she’ll send the best applicants to the department managers. They managers interview the applicants and choose their favorites and then they send their favorites back to HR. Then someone from HR checks the applicant’s references and decides to ultimately get the job. When I asked her what her favorite part about her job was, she said that she loved getting to talk to people all day. This was a lot of information to take in, but all in all I liked how they were prepared for us and we got in quickly and saw the presentation. I felt that this area was very efficient.
